Capitol Forest has a long history of
providing a large canvas for adventurous
cyclists to explore. From the early days of
cross country racing in the late 80's and
early 90's with for profit race promoters
attracting huge turnouts and the
Capital
Bicycling Club
campaign of riding clinics,
trail work parties and forest patrols during
the same era. DH races on Trail #30 with The
Peak Bike Shop, and
The Sick Puke in the
early 00's. Washington State's very first
Super D and Enduro races with FOCF and
Cascadia Dirt Cup last decade. Most
recently, forward and down with Capitol
Forest's first DNR Sanctioned
Downhill Tracks on the
North Slope Trails and a return to the spirit
of
Big Biking Adventures with
Joy Ride Bikes Gravelpalooza.

Capitol Forest has been and continues to
be a melting pot of cyclists looking to spend
time in the forest on their bikes.

Through all of these years of biking in
Capitol Forest, the primary force of
continuity is the unique environment where
multiple user groups successfully share
trails and facilities. This consideration for
other user groups has sustained bigger and
better access and experience for all
recreational users of Capitol Forest. Please
help continue our spirit and trend by
respectfully sharing Capitol Forest trails
and facilities with all legitimate user groups.

Connect with the
CFMTB, a local bike shop,
bike club, your friends or venture solo.
Appreciate the options and Enjoy The Ride.
Trails are open to mountain biking and hiking all year.
