IMPORTANT!!
Ride cautiously around equestrians, particularly on trails near trailheads and campgrounds. If you encounter a horse back rider on the trail get off of the trail with your bike
downhill from the trail if possible and talk loudly and clearly to the rider of the horse to keep the horse's attention until they have passed.

Distances are calculated using computer software - they are close but not exact. These rides require at the least: good equipment, good physical fitness, navigational skills and a DNR map. If you
are trying determine what ride will be best for your level of fitness and ability, consider distance and elevation gain as your primary factors in determining what you may be able to accomplish.
Capitol Forest is very large and you are responsible for your own safety. Use this guide at your own risk

BEGINNING RIDERS:
For beginner riders see the beginner category below, or if you want to explore on your own the Mima Falls Trailhead is a great place
to start out in Capitol Forest. Margarett McKenny TH is also a good place to launch from. Fall Creek TH is a good place to work into,
but it is difficult to explore without gaining elevation, which may or may not be fine for you based on your fitness. Capitol Forest has
many other adventurous opportunities as you advance and wish to push your riding and navigation skills.
Have fun. Explore more.

MORE EXPERIENCED RIDERS:
The intermediate and epic rides will have one or more of the following factors: more technical trail conditions, less maintained trail
conditions, remoteness, longer distance and or more elevation gain.

DH:
See Little Larch Mountain Trail and The Northside DH Trails out of Straddeline ORV Park.
